The valve is installed on the property owners side of the water meter. The valve is never installed on the City or Municipality side of the meter nor does it manipulate readings in any way. The valve will cause a more accurate reading and smarter water flow. Each Municipality should be contacted directly to ensure permitting requirments are met, where necessary.
